Hydrology is the study of the occurrence, distribution, movement and quality of water,
typically focusing upon impacts to human and aquatic life. A practitioner of hydrology is a
hydrologist, often working within the fields of earth science, the biological sciences,
physical geography, or civil and environmental engineering.
